Mr. Borrell’s visit to California came at a questionable time as the EU is getting ready to elect its new leadership. There is a strong presumption that Borrell tries to make a lasting impression in the U.S., perhaps by viewing a position in Nvidia’s Europe office.
It seems Mr. Borrell is promoting NVIDIA to European industries as an alternative to the Chinese equivalent. While the EU is trying to break away from U.S. market dominance, Mr. Borrelli is pushing the EU deeper into U.S. economic control, praising Nvidia.
The current EU leadership is closely aligned with the U.S. trade policy.
